Title: Business Development

Position Description

Ion is seeking to recruit an experienced, ambitious and motivated business development person to drive the identification of new customers and new business. The role is based at Ion Nutritional Labs in Largo, Florida however there will be extensive travel to current and prospective customers across the USA. The focus of the role will be leading on business development with new customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Seek out and target new customers and new sales opportunities, initiate action plan to approach and secure new business for the Company.
• Identification, development and execution of new business

• Establish and enhance the Company’s image for customers.
• Represent the Company at designated Trade shows.
• Perform and maintain timely and effective communications with customers.
• Provide up-to-date industry trends and direction to Management to facilitate strategic goals.
• Meet weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual Company objectives for Sales, Profit, and Volume.

Skills/Experience/ Attributes required

Key skills and experiences will ideally include:

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a USA Sales & Business development role with a proven capability to act proactively and independently as well as being a good team player preferably in a contract manufacturing role (Dietary supplements, health and wellness)

· Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationship with proven ability to grow business with existing customers

· A strong track record of delivery against commercial targets

· Proven leader

· Degree level education in a science based subject - preferable

· Strong interpersonal and analytical skills are essential as well as very strong commercial acumen

· Strong negotiation capability and resilience

· An understanding or experience of manufacturing businesses and the markets in which we operate

· Strong personal presence with excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

· Practical, pragmatic, hardworking and committed.

· Passionate, driven, with high personal integrity.

· Excellent spoken and written English is essential
